Pennsylvania Pepper

Today's BlogTrotting tour guide is The Pepper, which keeps reminding me of Dr. Pepper, which happens to be a very much beloved beverage of myself and of Carabee, BlogTrotting queen.

But back to The Pepper who describes herself as a "crafty first-time mama." Her site is under construction, but it's looking great so far. Don't mind the dust as she gives us a tour of Mercer County, Pennsylvania.

Wouldn't you like to be with Pepper too?

Let's Go!

Please leave The Pepper a comment to let her know you stopped by!

Hitsburgh!

Here in Baltimore, we're pretty big on our football. And the team everyone loves to hate? Pittsburgh. You take your life in your hands if you you show up in a Steelers jersey. And when they come to town for a game, well, let's just say the competition is fierce.

But despite this animosity, it's hard to argue that Pittsburgh isn't a lovely town. I've not spent much time there, but what I have seen of the rivers and surrounding area is really quite beautiful. And I'm sure our featured blogger, Marianne, will give us a fantastic tour! So let's head on over to see her!

And come back on Friday to link up your Field Trip Friday posts. This week, we're talking about the ideal picnic.

Keystone State

A couple of lifetimes ago, I dated a guy who lived in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. I'm not going to sugar coat this, folks: I had never heard of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. I didn't know how to pronounce it*, where it was, anything. But over the course of that relationship, I went to the area quite a bit visiting his friends and family. I'm pretty sure I could do the Baltimore-Wilkes-Barre drive with my eyes closed. Luckily for my husband and daughter, that guy didn't work out, but I still have fond memories of the area.

Well, our featured blogger today, Lisa, doesn't actually live in Wilkes-Barre, but she grew up there and now lives just down the road in Dorrance. I can tell you that it is a beautiful area, hilly and verdant in the summertime. And I have no doubt that Lisa is going to show us some of her absolutely fantastic photos to prove it. She is a truly gifted photographer and you'll be missing out if you don't head over to see her!

Don't miss Lisa's Etsy shop, where you can purchase some of her photos!

Please leave Lisa a comment and let her know we appreciate the tour! Come back tomorrow for Field Trip Friday and share your beloved childhood vacation memories, from your parents point of view!

The Keystone State

We're visiting Debi in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania today! If my information is correct, that word is pronounced "school-kill", although whenever I see signs for it, I pronounce it shooey-kill, because I think its more fun that way. I'm betting residents get a laugh at their visitors various attempts at pronunciation.

Today's blogger has a truly inspirational story. She and her husband are the proud parents of nine, count 'em, NINE children. She also has absolutely the most hilarious proposal story ever. So head on over to see her:

Who Says 8 Is Enough

Be sure to leave Debi a comment so she knows the BlogTrotting crew have been through town! Tomorrow we're visiting the sultry south, so get ready for some mudbugs, shrimp and catfish.
