Popping Into Vegas

I've only visited Las Vegas once -- over a decade ago with my parents and siblings for our family vacation that year. I enjoyed it and would be happy to return anytime. What I do not enjoy is the overuse of the phrases "Vegas, Baby!" and "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." I'm thinking that those phrases have to be the equivalent of fingernails on chalkboard for those who live in and around Las Vegas. Or not?
