Missouri Waltz

When I moved to Baltimore, I drove here from Kansas. One of the great highlights of that unbelievably long (and mostly boring) drive was seeing the St. Louis Arch. Any attempt I might make to convey the size and majesty of that symbol would no doubt fall flat. Suffice to say that it is an incredible monument. One that I am sure our featured blogger, Mrs. B, will do a much better job of telling you about.

Show Me State

Growing up in Kansas, there isn't much in the way of vacation destinations nearby. Landlocked, FLAT and sparsely populated, there are no beaches or ski resorts or attractions within hundreds of miles. So spending time at lakes, of which there was no shortage, was a popular getaway. And the granddaddy of lake getaways in the midwest is Lake of the Ozarks in neighboring Missouri. But there's a lot more to that area than just beautiful lakes, so let's head on over to see Katherine in Springfield, Missouri!
