I've lived in Baltimore for 15 years. I've done a fair amount of sightseeing of my adopted home in that time. But I suspect that like so many longtime residents of a place, I've become complacent here. I drive past the landmarks without really seeing them. I rarely visit the renowned cultural institutions. Months will go by where I don't see the Chesapeake Bay, fingers of which stretch within miles of my home. The truth is, though, that this little town of ours has a heck of a lot to offer.
Our featured bloggers today, Megan and Lauren, have a keen eye for aesthetics, fashion, decorating, food; basically all things cultural. I am absolutely agog to see how they serve up our fair town. I just know they will make every single one of you wish you could move here. Or at least visit so we could hit all of the fun places they describe. So let's go see them!

Charm City, Baby!
We've been all over the world, but it's been a while since we've visited my own town, Baltimore, also known as Charm City. Baltimore has plenty to offer, but one of the great events of the year is the Honfest which took place this past weekend. We left the kiddo at home with her grandparents and the hubs and I went out for some people watching and beer drinking. And we absolutely were not let down. By the end of the day, I was sunburned and headachey, but I wouldn't have missed it for anything.
So head on over to my own little slice of the internet and check out this UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING* post about this great event!

Come back tomorrow, we'll be heading back out for more BlogTrotting fun!
*Shameless self-promotion.

How Merry is Maryland? (Update)
Delayed due to a sick kid, Jill was unable to get her post up until late this morning, but it's up now. So head on over!!
Greetings, BlogTrotters! Today's tour guide lives between DC and Baltimore (close to CaraBee, I imagine) but originally hails from England. I don't know about you, but I'm so impressed by the BlogTrotters whose lives have included major geographic shifts.
And, of course, I enjoy glimpses of life in various corners of the world. Join us for today's tour of Woodbine, MD. Let's go!

I really related to today's blogger's description of herself: "I’m a writer who stays at home or a SAHM who writes…it depends on the day!" I know that feeling. Also, how cool is it that Jill from Musings from Me has a kid, a preteen, and a teen? As a mom of three under four, I really enjoy glimpses of what's ahead . . . it gets easier, right? Tee hee.

Dryer Lint and Dreams
We're off for a very special tour today. We're visiting not one, but two bloggers. Kristin and Chris Ann co-pilot the uber-awesome blog LoveFeast Table. Kristin is in Baltimore and Chris Ann in Minneapolis. Friends for more than 14 years, these two are now separated by a thousand miles, but their connection is as strong as ever. They've laughed, cooked and traveled together, sometimes all at once. They began their blog as a way to document their adventures and they do a pretty fantastic job of sharing their passions for food, art, family, friendship and all of the other great things in life.
Kristin and Chris Ann are going to take us along on a fabulous trip the pair and their families made recently to Italy. So let's get going!

South of the Mason Dixon
We're visiting Mindy in western Maryland today! I live in eastern Maryland. Baltimore, to be exact, but we visit western Maryland regularly. It's a beautiful, hilly place. It is full of small town charm and rugged natural wonders.
But I'll leave it to Mindy to tell you all about it. So head on over to see her at:
Mooneyequalsmc2
Be sure to leave Mindy a comment and let her know the BlogTrotters have been to town! Tomorrow, we're heading back west to a place where it is illegal to give a box of candy larger than 50 pounds to another citizen. Crazy, right?
**Have you entered our Rachel Ray bakeware giveaway?? You have until Friday at 5pm EST to enter.**

The Free State
We're turning around and coming back to the east coast for our next visit. That's right, we're coming to my own stomping grounds, good old Maryland, home of the Ravens, blue crab and Cal Ripken. We'll be stopping in to Sunday's place in Owings Mills, which is a suburb of Baltimore. Her blog name is a great acronym, but I'm not going to tell you what it is, you'll just have to go see for yourself:
WYSIWYG
As always, be sure to leave a comment and let her know where you hail from! We'll be turning back west tomorrow. Here's a little hint about our next destination:
It was home to the first concrete skyscraper built in the US.
